Our Future Landscapes: Green Drinks March

Craig Best (National Trust, West Yorkshire) and Cllr Rob Walker (Kirklees Council Cabinet member) will look at what’s happening locally to our moors and green spaces.  They will give an overview of the Our Future Landscapes project that has brought together a range of organisations interested in transforming our moorland landscape in the upper Holme and Colne Valleys. They will outline progress to date and provide an ambitious vision for the future.

This month Green Drinks will be at the Pop-Up Climate Emergency Hub - a shop occupied from 9th - 14th March by Kirklees Culture Declares. The venue is in the Piazza Centre - pedestrianised shops by the Library. The session starts at 18.00 with networking and drinks (water) from 17.30.

"This session will provide a taster for two public events planned for 21st March at Marsden Mechanics and 22nd March at Holmfirth Civic Hall which will allow a further opportunity to shape our plans", said Cllr Rob Walker.

Hi MY grandson and I planted some acorn about 3 years since, I would like to plant them with him so that he can watch them grow on to become mature trees . Somewhere in the Holme valley would be great if this would be possible

Thanks
